Pulse Driver Training

Pulse Driver Training

Pulse Driver Training started life as Pulse Driving School in 2008 created by instructor Craig Lawther. After a few years of instruction with a national driving school, Craig decided he could provide a better service to the local area with his own driving school. Pulse's mission was to provide training above and beyond the required and expected standards to pass the driving test.

In the summer of 2008 new measures were brought in by the government to reduce accidents among people driving for work related purposes. This created an opportunity to train company car drivers. Craig qualified to join the fleet instructors register and began training company drivers. Pulse Driver Training was forming.

In 2010 Pulse Driving School officially became Pulse Driver Training Ltd. Pulse Driver Training's mission is to train all drivers of all standards, learner or more experienced, above the expected standards. Craig strongly believes that Pulse Driver Training has a part to play in improving road safety for everyone.

The business is developing quickly. Early 2010 saw Pulse Driver Training announce a deal with a local airfield to allow specialist driver training courses to be held there. Craig wanted these courses to be exciting, fun and effective to take advantage of the vast amount of space available at the airfield. The courses on offer now include a unique intensive course for learners, first drive experiences for under 17s and dynamic car control courses.

In 2011 Pulse Driver Training started the Pulse driving academy for 15 and 16 year olds. The aim of the academy is to give those who take part a massive head start with learning to drive so when the learners are able to drive on the road they are already confident with controlling the car and have an good knowledge about traffic systems and road features. 2011 also saw the announcement of a partnership with Health and Safety Associates Ltd. Together, Pulse Driver Training Ltd and Health and Safety Associates Ltd are able to provide companies of any size a complete service with regards to their driving at work activities, beginning with the initial risk assessment, providing appropriate solutions to the risks and then working with clients on an continuing basis to manage the risks of driving at work activities effectively.

Since passing his IAM advanced driving test, Craig has been involved with the Norfolk and Norwich Advanced Motorists. At their 2012 AGM in January, Craig was voted on to the committee and has been tasked with the training of the group's observers who coach people wanting to take the advanced driving test.

Pulse Driver Training is developing and growing as a company all the time, aiming to become one of the best driver training companies in the country through quality training and providing exceptional service to all of it's clients.
