Pulse Driver Training's advanced driver training course will develop a driver’s standards and skills to an extremely high level. The course will take drivers on to a variety of roads and introduce a new way of thinking to deal with potential hazards and teach new driving skills and techniques. This advanced course focuses on the awareness and use of speed, distance and forward planning to allow drivers to assess the features of the road ahead and identify the risks and how to deal with those risks effectively, safely and to make progress where possible. The aim is to stop drivers being reactive and become proactive.

The course teaches road skills following the same system of driving set out in Roadcraft. This is the system that the police and advanced driving organisations use.

This course can be used to prepare for advanced driving tests such as those from the
Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA). Training for an advanced test will further develop a driver’s skill, car control and driving finesse.

This course will last for one day and use the clients own vehicle. A full advanced driving course can be taken to fully prepare for an advanced test
